Other Food Options

  • FoodShare Toronto is a non-profit community organization whose vision is Good Healthy Food for All.  ”FoodLink” is a volunteer-staffed telephone referral service run by FoodShare that connects people with food programs in their neighbourhood. To date, the FoodLink database contains over 1300 food program listings in Toronto.For more info, contact FoodLink at 416-392-6655 or go to their website.


  • Meals On Wheels delivers nutritious, delicious and affordable meals to a variety of groups, including: seniors, people with physical disabilities and cognitive impairments, individuals suffering from illnesses and recovering from surgeries, and those with need special dietary planning and assistance.  The majority of Meals on Wheels programs deliver meals hot and ready-to-eat, but some deliver frozen meals in containers ready to microwave.  Depending on the program, meals may be delivered by paid drivers or by volunteers who are screened, trained and usually live within your community. Services are available across Ontario.
